The House - upstairs

Well, over the past 3 weeks, we have certainly seen a lot of the inside of our four walls lately!  I'm curious how long it takes other people to get in and get settled.  We are definitely not the type to push boxes aside and get to them later.  We are on a mission to CONQUER the house when we move in.  So, on to the results, for those that care... :)  These pictures honestly help a ton when we move from one place to another - helps us remember how things looked! First up - upstairs.  The downstairs was in the midst of painting mania.  Pictures to come soon on that. Just a note - we are supposed to be getting blinds soon.  I normally roll pretty well with things in a house, but I really hate the pull down shades.    The Master Bedroom.  When these quarters were remodeled 15 years ago, they took what was 2 bedrooms and made it into the Master bedroom. So, needless to say, the room is huge.  Its nice to have a big r...

First family parade

We walked down to the graduation parade on Friday.  This is my favorite parade - watching the Firsties (seniors) march out.  It certainly didn't hold the attention of the girls for very long, but we enjoyed going and walk down.  It certainly brings back memories for us!

Easter/6-6 Ball

Pictures from Easter -  Poor Mya was SO tired!  We had to get them up before 6 to be at church for the early service! Easter baskets In the military your family quickly comes to include friends since your biological family isn't always close!  We had 22 people at our house for Easter dinner and egg hunt!  It was a blast!! Alicia, Ashley and Kristen supervising egg coloring  The dads hid the eggs...our back yard lacked creative hiding places though! Go!  It was pretty chilly! Trying to find the last egg! Counting their winnings.  Poor kids that got real eggs weren't as excited once they realized there was no candy inside!  Best attempt at a group shot! The next weekend, we had our Squadron Ball.  Crazy time to go to a ball right before a move! Chad with our S3 and friend - Mark Herold   Six Shooter Ladies  Some of my favorite ladies - Theresa,...

So long to Ft. Drum...

As much as we move, you would think we get used to leaving people and places... So far though it just gets harder with each move!  Ft. Drum was #2 on my list of places I never wanted to move.  (#1 is Alaska - I just don't do that cold.)  Ft. Drum was too cold, too far, too much snow.  The Lord has a sense of humor though, because the place I didn't want to go has been the hardest place to leave.  The Lord knit our hearts together with so many dear people through our unit and through our church.   Saying goodbye is one of my least favorite things, but I do like to take pictures, especially for me girls to remember people.   These are some amazing people!  During our time at New Hope I helped with all things audio/visual. Chad jumped in when he got home and while at times it felt like we should bring a cot and sleep at church, it was a pleasure to serve and we loved spending time with these folks!  Addison's Sunday School teache...
