I wrote this so long ago...apparently I never published it! Ahh!
Here's a quick catch up from our end of summer activities...
On the top of our to do list was the Bronx Zoo (awesome military discount!). While Wednesdays are free, we chose to go on a Thursday, which proved to be a great choice. We've heard it is crazy busy on Wednesdays and it wasn't too bad for us. Our friends the Wyatt's live in the city and since Susan was 39 weeks pregnant, we offered to get their 3 kiddos out of the house for the day. So we headed off to the zoo with 5 kids under the age of 6. It was such a great day. The kids did great. I was constantly counting kids to make sure we had everyone. Made we glad we weren't the size of the Duggars. That would be a lot of counting.
Jack was a great navigator!
Taking a break from the walking to watch a puppet show.
The best picture of the day - Elliot, Addison, Lillie, Mya and Jack. (Lillie and Elliot are twins.)
Ready to see Dora!
Bug carousel was the highlight of the day!
Elliot was cracking me up - forget the cone and the spoon, just eat it straight out of the cup! As you can imagine, five little kids with ice cream was quite the sight. We had been getting looks all day, so when I was up getting napkins for 12th time, a family stopped and asked me, "Are those all yours?" I spontaneously said, "Yep!" The ladies' eyes got so big. I had to laugh! She said, "They must be twins right? I said, "yes, 3 year old twins" and walked away. People crack me up... I probably should have told her the truth, but her expression was priceless.
Addison and Mya still talk about this snake!
The primate house was quite exciting for our group. Chad was holding Mya right next to the glass when this monkey tried to jump on her! He swung and hit the glass right in front of her twice!
Next, were the gorillas. Lillie was standing right at this glass when the gorilla started beating his chest and running right up to her! Exhausting, but fun day!
Mya's face each morning!
At the playground one afternoon, Addison wanted a photo shoot. There were about 25 pictures...
"Fishing" for numbers in school
Watching the jump team practice on the Plain
Labor Day Weekend we went to Sesame Place in Pennsylvania. Another free day thanks to military discounts! Cute park, but don't go Labor Day weekend. Very hot and unbelievably crowded...to the point it was hard to do anything. Once the sun started going down it was much better!
Girls were very excited to Elmo and Mr. Noodle!
Addison ready to go!

I can't wait to check out the Bronx Zoo!! :) Looks like y'all had a ball!
