The past 16 days have been amazing! R&R is always such a sweet time. Our hearts are sad today as we put Chad back on a plane, but thankful for the time we had together. We only have 3 months left in this deployment, and while today that seems like forever, I know it will be here soon.
Here are a few pictures from a whirlwind R&R!
Waiting for Daddy at the Atlanta airport. Chad flew to Atlanta so we could all go to his sister's wedding that weekend.
We got a gate pass to go to the gate to meet Daddy!
Little ones are not great at stationary waiting!
Most soldiers coming home on R&R come through Atlanta and then get connecting flights home. It was neat to welcome home so many soldiers. We even got to see our good friend Matt McNeal as he was headed home to see his girls! After Matt walked away, all the people standing around looked puzzled. I had to explain he wasn't our man! They were confused why we just waved!
These ladies greet every flight of soldiers that come in. They cheer and welcome home each one!
Some of the customs agents had a shift change right before Chad came out and they were so sad they couldn't see our reunion. :)
The moment we had waiting for for so long - DADDY!!
Yay!
One nice thing about being in Atlanta was that our family (all that could) came out to welcome Chad home!
Daddy and his girls -
Can you tell they were happy to see him??
